My Story
My passion for teaching stemmed from my upbringing and has continuously driven me to expand my knowledge, experience, and relationships. With a strong background and years of experience, I'm confident in my skill set and driven attitude. Through my teaching, I hope to inspire and motivate students to reach their potential through our learning process. As an educator, I will demonstrate commitment to the well-being of students both academically and emotionally. My focus will be set on creatively collaborating with colleagues and students to support growth and progress for the entire school community.

HOMEROOM TEACHER
August 2022Â - June 2024
Facilitated a student-centered, positive learning environment for kindergarten students. Monitored student learning through a variety of assessment styles and differentiated instruction according to student needs, in partnership with my co-teacher. Had an integral role in organizing events and spirit weeks throughout the school year.
HOMEROOM TEACHER
August 2018 - June 2022
A homeroom English teacher at a bilingual kindergarten in Shanghai, China. Experience teaching from Nursery 1 to Kindergarten 2 (ages 2-6) topics like phonics, reading, writing, and drama. Created an immersive, English-speaking environment for students to learn through conversations, activities, and lessons, collaboratively with my Chinese co-teachers.

September 2015 - July 2018
Primary school ESL teacher with experience teaching grades 1-5 in two Shanghai public schools. Used a pre-set curriculum to design my own lessons suitable to teach young learners the English language. Games, songs, and crafts were a focus in the student-centered learning environment I created.

Taught one-on-one lessons to students of all ages on a variety of topics. Worked in close partnership with parents to plan a creative curriculum suited to their child’s needs, in order to stimulate their growth and progress. Maintained an open line of communication with parents to support and reflect on the child’s growth.
